As Britain’s leading female perfumer, Lyn Harris is known for her subtle, artful creations, and her specialization in natural ingredients. Daniel Bense, meanwhile, spent over a decade working for Aesop, before founding To My Ships in 2024. The brand’s central product is a beautifully scented deodorant, inspired by Homer’s poem, The Iliad.
Together Lyn and Daniel discuss their shared ethos, the challenges of working with natural ingredients, the importance of collaboration and, in Daniel’s case, the trials and tribulations of creating the industry’s most exquisite deodorant.
