Where do you hope this summer takes you? Somewhere hot, vibrant, full of culture, no doubt. And we know just the place. Capri. The Italian island rich in art, culture and history, as well as breathtaking views and an incredible atmosphere. Yet even if your travel plans don’t permit a physical trip to Capri’s sun-drenched shores, here’s something that’ll transport you there – metaphorically, at least: Monica Vinader’s new Capri collection.

The epitome of Euro summer chic, each piece takes its cues from the golden treasures of the deep sea, legendary jewels and gems washed up on the sunbaked shores of the Mediterranean.

But why did Monica Vinader’s resident artisans set their sights on such a location in the first place? “The island of Capri has a magnetic energy — sun-soaked, effortless, and timeless,” explains lead designer, Jan Warnock. “It felt like the perfect inspiration for a collection that celebrates natural beauty and relaxed glamour.”

And as anyone who has already ticked Capri off their travel bucket list can attest, the island is full of aesthetic inspiration. “Capri's organic coastline and vibrant culture were the main sources of our inspiration,” Warnock continues. “Capri feels modern and ancient all at once, so we wanted to capture that in the jewellery, for the woman who's spending her summer there.”

In jewellery terms, think textured metals dotted with unique pearls. “Each piece in the collection draws from natural elements of the island, the textures used could be interpreted as both weathered rock or sunlit ripples on the water,” Warnock explains. “We’ve used irregular shaped pearls to echo the island's organic beauty.”

As has become Monica Vinader’s signature, the styling opportunities are almost endless. “The pieces are designed to be as versatile as the women who wear them,” Warnock recommends. “For example, you could wear the Keshi Pearl Cocktail Earrings as a standalone, bold statement or layer and stack the pendants and rings for a more curated look.” The rest is up to you...
