While new makeup brands may launch day in, day out, there’s a reason why the beauty world sat up and listened when world-renowned makeup artist Lisa Eldridge announced the launch of her eponymous beauty brand back in 2018, starting out with a range of lipsticks quite unlike any others on the market. She has the makeup equivalent of the midas touch; every face that meets the end of her brush seems to magically acquire that inner-lit glow we’d all like to achieve.
And now, she brings this magic to Liberty’s iconic Beauty Hall, with the unveiling of a brand new (and rather shiny) counter where you can shop in person, as well as a virtual corner of this very website for those who prefer to shop online. But where should you start? We asked Eldridge to share the stories behind some of the products she loves most to help you identify your own future favourites…

THE HYDRATING LIP GLOSS
Lisa Eldridge Beauty Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss, £20
I’ve always had quite dry lips, and I had a real problem with the silicone lip oils that have been trending the last few years – they feel amazing when they first go on, but the silicone soon evaporates and I found that after 15 minutes, my lips felt drier than ever!
I wanted to make a formula that was a genuinely nourishing lip mask, but that had colour – so I created a silicone-free formula based on occlusive, natural butters and oils. Even if the colour wears off, the effects and feeling of the nourishment stays on.
THE NEW GEN FOUNDATION
Lisa Eldridge Beauty The Seamless Skin Foundation, £44
I had a problem with a lot of the water-based foundations that became prominent around 2015. They changed colour a lot, which wasn’t ideal working on clients for the red carpet. I also didn’t like the fact that most contained drying alcohols, talc and SPF (which causes flashback in photography) – so I set out to create a foundation which didn’t contain any of these ingredients.
This one is suitable for those with sensitive skin and rosacea, it photographs brilliantly, talc has been replaced by bamboo stem powder so it’s still long-lasting and self-setting and it also contains FILMEXEL, a natural biopolymer I discovered at a trade fair in Hong Kong in 2016. It’s brilliantly clever. Three minutes after application the biopolymer sets, giving a subtle lifting, tightening and smoothing effect.
THE ONE-AND-DONE CLEANSER
Lisa Eldridge Beauty Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser, £43
My journey to the Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser started when I came across a piece of research on the natural cleansing agent saponins, discovering that the Quillaja Tree is the world’s most concentrated source. I later learnt of an extraction process that has won awards for its environmental optimism in wildly harvesting these saponins, and the rest, as they say, is history. I handpicked other hero ingredients that would work alongside to create the most hard-working, hybrid cleanser out there.
After spending years preaching the benefits of a double cleanse, I had to somewhat eat my words. Through the clinical trials, we discovered it removed 100% of waterproof and long-wearing makeup in just one use. Is the day of the double cleanse now over?!
THE AUTHENTIC HIGHLIGHTER
Lisa Eldridge Beauty Elevated Glow Highlighter, £27
I wanted to create a skincare hybrid highlighter that had serious skincare benefits, as well as providing a skin-like glow that would be truly flattering in any lighting, from the glare of red-carpet flashbulbs to everyday, harsh daylight. There’s no metallic, unrealistic shine here – it mimics a lit-from-within glow.
It’s a skincare-grade glow-giver.... delivering a beautiful, natural glow alongside high performance skin benefits. It was also my first product that includes the amazing hero ingredient FILMEXEL. I loved it so much I also included this ingredient in my Seamless Skin Foundation, and Skin and Makeup Enhancing Mist… I have a whole FILMEXEL family now!
THE DREAM EYELINER

This is a really good, silky smooth pencil eyeliner that will deliver instant, intense payoff and you can rely on to be longwearing, is a staple of any professional kit. It’s your dream, melting, soft kohl pencil, but that will set and stay put.
Whenever I use this on any of my clients, the first feedback I get is of the sensorial, creamy texture. It really has to be experienced to be believed!
