“Scent is memory’s most intimate trigger,” says Francesco Ragazzi, founder of the new, enticing fragrance brand Réservation Parfums – a recent arrival in the Liberty Beauty Hall. In many ways, it’s a fascination with this most cerebral connection that forms the foundation of Réservation Parfums' remarkable concept.
“Réservation began as an imaginary California hotel – sunlit, cinematic, and timeless – where each fragrance captures a moment, a memory of that perfect stay,” Ragazzi tells Liberty. “From the Suite 909 to the shimmer of Bleu Piscine or the firelight of Feu de Rose, I wanted to create perfumes that merge California’s effortless beauty with the craftsmanship of French haute parfumerie.”
With each spritz, the brand aims to conjure blissful moments scattered across one day spent in the hotel. Ragazzi describes each scent as like a room key: “opening a different atmosphere, a different story”.
Comprised of seven scents crafted by senior perfumer Yann Vasnier, Réservation Parfums’ collection evokes a suite of enticing scenarios. From the brand’s signature Suite 909, which Ragazzi calls “sensual, modern and enticing”, with notes of pink peppercorn, black pepper, cedarwood and patchouli; to Bleu Piscine, with notes of peppermint, juniper and lime, redolent of a serene sun-drenched swimming pool.
“A hotel is full of arrivals, encounters, rituals and memories,” notes Ragazzi. “It’s a stage for infinite stories – and fragrance becomes the script, whether it’s sunlight on water, midnight laughter, or roses smouldering at dusk.”

We work with the finest raw materials,” Ragazzi explains. “But always with the aim of creating scents that feel alive, that carry memory and mood, not just structure. An ‘art de vivre’.”
It’s this duality of focus, blending precision and emotion that expresses the French heart and Californian soul of the brand. “California offers the inspiration – its landscapes, freedom, and leisure – while France brings the savoir-faire, the mastery of blending, the quality of ingredients and the poetry of course,” he explains. “Together, it becomes a love letter to California, written in the language of haute parfumerie.”
This transatlantic combination translates to a signature olfactive style, honed by Yann Vasnier’s perfumery – making each scent in the collection simultaneously distinct and recognisable. Ragazzi describes the overarching scent signature as “luminous, textural, immersive”, noting than each scent is a combination of presence and clarity. “There’s a balance of light and shadow, refinement and sensuality and always an elegant spiciness somewhere in the heart,” he says.
