Showcased in five sophisticated colour palettes of Lacquer, Lapis, Lichen, Jade and Pewter; this collection reimagines the natural world as intricately woven textures and illustrations, transporting you to Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty’s remarkable expeditions across Japan, China, Persia and India in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. From trailing Chinoiserie motifs and Indian Mughal paintings to miniature Persian gardens and art from the Japanese Edo period, this inherently Liberty collection reinterprets traditional techniques with modern accents.
