It’s the Liberty Home Buyer’s job to always be on the lookout for exciting new brands and designers in the interiors world. We sat down with Lauren Marshall, our Buying and Product Co-Ordinator for Home, for an insight into the brands that should be on your radar for 2024. Whether it's lesser-known labels bringing joy to your home, the designer totally reawakening cookware or the history-steeped brands currently undergoing a renaissance, here are the latest new-in brands to hit the Liberty floors...

HoodMor

“HoodMor's mission is to create functional homeware pieces with unique and playful personalities,” explains Lauren. “The brand is run by Libby Hood and Nicola Morland, who work from a shared studio space in East London. Everything they make is hand-made and hand-painted, meaning no two pieces are identical. I love that the homeware is practical and useable but they can also be used as standalone works of art or artistic centrepieces.”

Gunia Project

"Gunia Project combines folk crafts and fashion, creating eye-catching pieces inspired by traditional Ukrainian culture. With an artistic approach towards craftsmanship, the brand encorporates niche details of traditional culture to create artisanal pieces that can be used every day. I love that each collection is a unique combination of design and history," says Lauren.

Stewart Hearn

"Master glassmaker Stewart Hearn has mastered the art of glass-blowing to create one-of-a-kind home pieces that inject colour into homes," explains Lauren. "Hearn's glassware focuses on the balance of form, colour translucency and weight, with each piece imbuing interiors with idiosyncratic artistic flair. You can't help but feel joy when you look at them."

Barettoni

"This brand was founded in 1685, and imbues each piece with centuries of expertise and respect for the tradition of crafting ceramics. Still marked with an 18th-century original stamp and hand-painted for a meticulous finish, each Barettoni piece is timelessly classic and would make for the perfect contemporary heirloom that can be handed down for generations," says Lauren.
