In Appreciation of: Jones Road x Hervé Universal Hair Balm

A formula as strand-strengthening, shine-inducing and hair-reviving as this certainly deserves your attention

By: Shannon Peter

The Synopsis

You have no doubt already tried (and loved) the brand's iconic Miracle Balm. Well, Jones Road x Hervé Universal Hair Balm, £34 is that, but for your hair. A strand-strengthening, shine-inducing, hair-reviving all-in-one balm, it is just the thing for elevating your every hair look.

The Rise to Fame

Jones Road Beauty has already conquered makeup bags around the globe, and this is its first departure into the world of hair. A does-it-all formula that works on all hair types, it’s made in partnership with hairstylist (and Bobbi Brown’s dear friend) Hervé Claude, a whizz in modern, wearable but inherently covetable hairstyling. In other words, he knows what the contemporary haircare consumer is looking for from a styling product.

The Credentials

Universal Hair Balm does a lot, and so it should. Us time-poor self-stylers need all the shortcuts we can get. The formula is super lightweight, and helps to boost shine, protect against heat damage and anchor fly-aways (if you want it to), as well as strengthening, repairing and conditioning hair of all types and textures.

The Star Quality

It’s incredibly easy to use. In fact, there’s no wrong way to work with it. You can either add to damp hair to start the shine-boosting process early, or use on dry hair pre-styling to make strands more malleable. It adds soft definition to curls, coils and waves, and can also improve the results of heat styling if used in tandem.
