The Rise to Fame
A mainstay on the New York beauty scene, Malin + Goetz has long been adored the world over for its slick, modern take on skincare, bodycare and candles. But it’s in fragrance where the brand particularly shines. Its perfumes tend to headline a single note (think: leather, vetiver or even cannabis), providing a fresh take on scents you already know and love. But strawberry is perhaps one of the more novel notes, a scent that until now, hasn’t had much airtime on Fragrance Hall shelves.
The Credentials
There’s actually no ‘real’ strawberry inside the bottle, but rather a clever blend of notes that manage to conjure up its scent, or at least a fresh reinterpretation of it. It melds bergamot with pink pepper, musks with jasmine petals, topped off with a little bit of orris root. The result is something not nearly as sweet as you might imagine. Instead, it’s cosy and comforting. Just the thing for seeing out the end of the summer – and wearing well into the colder months.
