We’ve invited the most extraordinary names in beauty to collaborate on special edition items in honour of this monumental anniversary – with a new launch dropping every month for the rest of 2025. A thoughtful curation of six sumptuous, innately wearable shades, artfully placed inside Eldridge’s signature, vintage-inspired compact case, it’s certainly a (beauty) work of art. And one you’ll only find here at Liberty, in honour of our special anniversary.
Something of a colour pro, Eldridge laboured over selecting the perfect spectrum of hues. “The Desert Gleam Eyeshadow Palette is a sandstorm of shades and textures – where editorials in the sand dunes meet the high glamour of Studio 54,” she muses. “This palette really has multiple lives. By day, Desert Gleam exudes a soft sculptural quality with rich, creamy matte tones of sand, brown and khaki. By night, Safari chic meets Studio 54, with a jewelled scarab metallic silver, pure never-ending gold, and a bronze that shines like evening stars reflected on the dunes.”
The packaging itself nods to Eldridge’s obsession with all things vintage. “The palette is the most beautiful, refillable, slim and elegant compact and almost feels like one of those gorgeous 1930s makeup or elegant cigarette cases. The mirrored, slim, aluminium soft gold compact is rooted in my appreciation of the past, yet it has a thoroughly modern approach,” she explains.
Eyeshadow novices: consider your fears assuaged by Eldridge’s sage advice. “If you’re experimenting with these colours for the first time, or you’re tentatively dipping your toe back into colour, start with a wash of a single colour across the lid,” she recommends. “‘Chrysina’ will give you a flattering, enlivening shimmer that will give you the confidence to try more shades. You can easily and effectively apply this shade with your fingertips. ‘Sahara’ is a true, pure khaki green that looks beautifully as a cloud of seamless colour on the eye. Apply with a soft, fluffy brush and buff so there are no visible edges.”
And for the ultimate finish that stays in place all day (or night), Eldridge has some words of wisdom. “My Eyeshadow Palettes contain high-performance, long-lasting eyeshadows that will truly stay put. However, if you usually like to opt for an eye primer, you can absolutely do so,” she flags. “Apply your eyeshadows in thin layers, buffing and blending as you go, so that everything melds together beautifully. You could also use a dampened brush with the metallic shades before applying to the lid, to really make the shine pop.”
