Known for dressing women all over the world for the most important events in their calendar, these are pieces synonymous with elegance, modernity, functionality and most-importantly, feeling your best. A design ideology that founder, Han Chong lives by. So, should a dress code dilemma cause you sartorial distress, who else to turn to for sage advice? Here, Chong shares his proven philosophies on getting dressed for a season of events…
Dressing up should feel exciting, not stressful
To hear that self-portrait is synonymous with making women feel their best is honestly the biggest compliment. When I design, I’m always thinking about how a woman will feel when she puts the dress on, how it moves, how it catches the light, how it gives her confidence before she’s even left the house. If self-portrait can be part of someone’s special moment, that’s a privilege.
If you’re not comfortable, it shows
Start with what makes you feel good. Occasionwear doesn’t mean you have to reinvent yourself. It’s just a more polished, elevated version of what you already love. The best outfits are the ones that feel effortless.

Plan ahead
It really depends on the occasion, but I always think it’s smart to start looking early – whether that’s browsing online, taking inspiration from social media, or heading into store to try things on. A well-crafted dress is timeless, and finding the right one means you’ll feel confident and polished without the last-minute panic.
Don’t overthink the dress code
I think people are having more fun with dress codes now, it’s less about strict rules and more about setting a mood. You can interpret it how you wish and have fun with styling the look in the process.

A great dress should do the work for you
It should make you feel like the best version of yourself: polished, confident, and ready to enjoy the moment. If you put it on and immediately feel amazing, you’ve got the right one.
Always check the forecast
Especially with the British weather! If you’re going to be outdoors, think about fabrics that work with the elements such as wind, humidity… grass! Also consider the timing because a dress that looks incredible at a summer wedding in the afternoon might need a bit of extra drama for an evening event.

Don’t save things for ‘just’ special occasions
A great dress can be styled in so many ways.. you could throw a blazer over it, wear it with flats, mix it with your everyday wardrobe. I love seeing how women make our pieces their own over time. Clothes should be enjoyed, not hidden away.
