A centrepiece is crucial to setting the scene, creating a great atmosphere at a dinner party and helping to elevate your everyday dining experience - after all, you don’t need to be throwing a raucous affair for an excuse to set the table and truly make a meal of it. Above all you want your table styling to feel curated and cohesive so there are a few options to try based on both your table shape and personal style.
Of course a large abundant floral display housed in a statement vase is the most traditional option and shouldn’t be overlooked, but nothing brings atmosphere to a table quite like candlelight. For an evening soiree, a line-up of tapered candles placed in lovely holders sets the mood and creates a sense of intimacy. For a quick and easy centre moment that sings of spring, look to incorporate some natural elements on your table with flowers picked from the garden dotted around in bud vases - there is nothing more cheering than the sight of daffodils - or bowls filled with seasonal produce to add colour and charm without fussiness. A playful table runner adds texture and nods to a Cottagecore aesthetic, while a decorative tray on the centre of the table adds personality and makes it easier to reach the salt.

Tips for a Rectangle Table: It might sound obvious but go with the shape of the table with pieces running down the length of the table, not across the width
Tips for a Small Table: Bear in mind though that a centrepiece on a small table is probably going to need to be moved when you eat, so ensure your arrangement is lightweight enough
