Celebrate London Design Festival with Liberty

From an expert-led embroidery masterclass to the hero brands we’re spotlighting, discover what’s on at Liberty this London Design Festival

Liberty is, and always has been, More than a Store. It’s an artistic movement. A hub of discovery and craftsmanship. Home to a host of artisanal brands who bring the home to life through their experimental processes and unique designs. So what better time to spotlight this creative community than throughout London Design Festival, 16-24th September 2023.

To mark the occasion, Liberty will be hosting two events that allow customers like you to not only explore the artisanal spirit of the design community, but also flex your own creative muscle. On Monday 18th September, join us for a dynamic panel talk entitled Giving Visibility to a Global Craft Community, hosted by our Managing Director, Sarah Coonan alongside Powered by People, the disruptive wholesale marketplace that’s just landed at Liberty.

Or, for those with a knack for craft, you could join us for a creative evening of freehand embroidery on Tuesday 19th September, alongside Gladys Macharia, founder of Kenyan hand-loomed textile brand, Siafu Home and London-based hand embroidery artist, Nicole Chui. Consider it your chance to learn how to create illustrative designs and drawings using a needle and thread.

But while you’re here, why not take a tour around our Tudor halls to discover more of the craft pioneers that call Liberty home? Please allow us to introduce you to…
