Editor's Notes

The Sophy pendant necklace is part of Dinny Hall's Sunbeam collection - one of two ranges designed to celebrate the 'Pre-Raphaelite Sisters' exhibition at London's National Portrait Gallery.

Inspired by the ethereal aesthetic of Pre-Raphaelite paintings, this fine chain necklace features a small half-sun pendant with six rays of light rendered in 22 carat gold plated vermeil silver. The design is named after prominent Pre-Raphaelite muse Sophy Gray - one of the many 19th century female creatives who contributed to the movement. Style it with a coordinating pair of Sunbeam earrings for a striking celestial curation that shines a light on the untold stories of these talented women.

About Dinny Hall
Dinny Hall is a legend of British jewellery design. A Liberty London favourite since her Central Saint Martins graduate collection in 1984, the designer has been developing an elegant, inventive and exquisitely understated aesthetic ever since. Working out of a bustling studio in Notting Hill, the designer – who is involved in each piece, from sketch to store – uses genuine gemstones and the highest quality gold and silver in her jewellery. Informed by an eclectic array of influences – from 20th century furniture design to the domes of Russian orthodox churches – Dinny Hall’s jewellery is a wonderfully vibrant part of the contemporary scene.
