Editor's Notes

The Yantra tea towel set from Tiipoi is inspired by the complex and mystical diagram Yantra. Crafted from a soft linen-cotton blend, this set includes two tea towels printed with a bold geometric pattern – reminiscent of Yantras inscribed with Sanskrit syllables. These geometric diagram drawings are commonly used to bring about stillness and calm to aid in mediative rituals, here presented in Tiipoi’s playful take, use them to bring an eclectic touch to cooking and dining spaces.

Founded by Spandana Gopal in 2013, Tiipoi is a product design studio focused on reintroducing Indian craftmanship. Based in Bangalore and London, each piece is thoughtfully made to bring a “quiet functionality” to your home – breaking free from the past and show that there is more to Indian design than traditional stereotypes.
