Designed to celebrate our 150th Anniversary, Liberty unveils Short Tartan Coat - a commanding centrepiece from the exclusive Liberty HYPERNOVA 150 collection by creative director Frida Giannini.

Masterfully constructed in Scotland from a luxurious wool and mohair blend, this short coat features a bespoke tartan in Liberty’s signature purple - officially registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans, securing its place in the brand’s storied legacy. The sharply tailored silhouette is finished with a classic notched collar, martingale belt, and striking military-inspired details, including a double-breasted front and hand-crafted Double L buttons.

The Liberty HYPERNOVA 150 collection is built on three pillars: Legacy, honouring Liberty’s historic artistry and iconic status in British culture; Rebel, capturing the countercultural spirit of Carnaby Street with bold, fearless design; and Mastery, showcasing uncompromising craftsmanship through bespoke detailing and Italian luxury. Together, these values define a collection that celebrates Liberty’s past while igniting its creative future for the next 150 years.
