A celebration of craft and cultural heritage, Indian brand Kartik Research works closely with local artisans to create the Gul Jacket.

Crafted from a wool‑and‑silk handloom textile developed in Almora, Himachal Pradesh, this military‑inspired jacket features a point collar, horn‑button placket, and two angled flap pockets. Hand‑embroidered French knot detailing adds an artisanal touch to the utilitarian silhouette.

Founded in 2021 by Kartik Kumra, Indian brand Kartik Research creates clothing inspired by India’s rich heritage of craft and culture. A celebration of heritage and time-honoured techniques, the brand is committed to preserving centuries-old craftsmanship. Working closely with Indian artisans, each garment is handmade and features intricate handicraft ranging from kantha quilted shorts, to Kasuti-embroidered suits. Weaving the past with the present, each stitch and seam defines craftsmanship in a contemporary way.
