Emily Bode was the first ever female designer to show at New York Fashion Week: Men’s. Bode is an eponymous menswear label with a deep affinity for age-old tailoring techniques. Executed through collections of highly innovative, tailor-made pieces, Bode translates traditionally female-centric skills - such as quilting, embroidery and appliqué - for the contemporary male follower of fashion. Storytelling is key; the brand’s patchwork bomber jackets, striped separate and laser-cut tanks are clarified through intricately woven narratives.
