The COAST Blue Pleated Wide-Leg Trousers from PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE showcase the late designer’s signature pleating technique.

Part of the COAST collection - defined by sculpted curves that echo the power of the surf and the softness of a receding tide - these trousers are cut with diagonal pleats that create fluid movement. Cut for a relaxed wide‑leg silhouette, these trousers feature an elasticated waistband for an easy, comfortable fit.

About Pleats Please Issey Miyake
Japanese designer Issey Miyake founded the Miyake Design Studio in Tokyo in 1970. Miyake quickly became known for his groundbreaking pleating techniques; using heat to imbue fabric with a ‘memory’ that keeps pleats in place. Pleats Please launched in 1993 as a capsule collection of Miyake’s patented pleating and today incorporates sculptural dresses, jackets and separates.
