After a successful 30-year career in journalism, Kathleen Baird-Murray launched La Pyae Apothecary with the debut fragrance Catch Me If I Fall in 2024. Developed over a period of 9 years, Baird-Murray worked alongside renowned perfumer Frank Voelkl, bringing to life her dream of a scent that embodies the captivating magic of Myanmar – a place where she reconnected with her mother’s family after over 50 years of separation. Taking its name from the Burmese name for full moon, La Pyae Apothecary takes inspiration from the joyful essence of Myanmar, and harnesses cutting-edge technology to create beautifully-crafted, uplifting fragrances to bring an extra dose of enchantment to your day.
