Designing from the expansive landscapes of Cardigan, West Wales, Ella Bua-In illustrates each piece with her signature playful painterly style, achieved using vibrant ceramic oxides. Referencing a myriad of sources in her work from Ancient Greek and Roman pottery to folk tales and myths as well as traditional brushwork techniques and botanical studies, this bowl tells its own unique story of a hot, Roman summer, vines heavy with grapes ready for harvest. Hand-built using a mould and complete with marks from the making process, this charming piece is best when piled high with fresh fruit atop a kitchen counter.Please note: That there may be slight variations to the one shown due to the freehand nature of the design process, and measurements are approximate.
