Acanthus is a jewellery line from Nichole McIver, a former art historian who creates each piece in her studio in Minnesota. The brand's name refers to a scrolling foliage motif whose reappearance throughout different eras of history symbolises a sense of timelessness, according to McIver - a trait she endeavours to recreate within her work. The designer is drawn to the medieval and the ancient, particularly pre-16th century objects that she reimagines and transforms into intricate jewellery.
