Drawing on the ancient history of the vibrant Turkish city, the Istanbul collection recreates the myriad of stars that shone down on the Ottoman Empire. Handcrafted from 18 carat rose gold, this ring features a small five-point star encrusted with a single, round-cut centre diamond surrounded by five pear-shaped diamonds.
About Selim Mouzannar
Born into a family of jewellers, French-Lebanese designer Selim Mouzannar spent much of his childhood in his father’s workshop in the historical jewellery souks of Beirut. From there, he went on to study mineralogy in France and Belgium, manage jewellery workshops in Saudi Arabia and work as a stone hunter in Thailand’s ruby mines. In 1993 he launched his eponymous jewellery line - drawing inspiration from the Ottoman Empire, Art Deco architecture and the Mediterranean Sea, each piece is handcrafted in his Beirut workshop with finishes ranging from vibrant enamel to glittering coloured gems.
