Sakura in Salvia
Sakura in Salvia
The new Liberty Interiors collection Botanical Atlas celebrates our historic lineage of craftsmanship and design through a cross-pollination of styles and visual narratives – with Liberty wallpaper printed on premium non-woven substrates. Expertly printed using traditional and cutting-edge techniques, the wallpapers exude luxurious textures and richly-defined colour.
Sakura pays homage to the beautiful, Japanese cherry blossom by embracing its minimalistic aesthetic, hand-painted in delicate watercolours. The print features scattered clusters of simplified buds and blooms that appear to float through a windswept sky.Hand-painted in the Liberty Design Studio, Magical Plants feature an exquisite illustration of a majestic trailing garden filled with magnolias, wisteria, lily of the valley and other assorted florals adorned on leafy branches. This botanical wonder is printed on a wide-width textured ground finished with a subtle lustre and sheen.
“Liberty has always appealed to the heart and spirit of the collector – those with a passion for unique pieces that transcend the generations. Botanical Atlas is dedicated to those enthusiasts, past and present.” – Genevieve Bennett, Head of Design Liberty Interiors

Celebrating the wonder of the natural world, Botanical Atlas showcases an eclectic array of flora and fauna, crafted with timeless elegance and hued in rich, sophisticated colour palettes. This season takes us on a global voyage and an exploration of magical and fantastical forms. Following Sir Arthur Liberty’s passion for discovery, the collection references his remarkable expeditions to Japan, China, Persia and India during the 1880s-1910s. From trailing Chinoiserie motifs, through to miniature Persian Garden illustrations, Indian Moghul painting and art from the Japanese Edo period, this intrinsically Liberty collection reinterprets traditional techniques with modern accents.
