Editor's Notes

Transforming the ancient ritual of bathing into something intimate for the modern world, 39BC presents the FIG MILK Bath & Shower Oil, an oil-based body cleanser designed to elevate your bath & body care rituals.

Part of the Vol. 1: Alexandria collection, evoking the legendary world of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony through richly scented compositions, this cleansing oil refreshes and purifies to leave all skin types uplifted, fragrant and immaculately clean. Galbanum, fig and cedarwood notes are to thank for the awakening aroma, which lingers on skin long after use.

About 39BC
39BC transforms the ancient ritual of bathing into something intimate for the modern world, drawing on the sensual traditions of Roman bathhouses, Japanese onsens and North African hammams. Founded by Sharmadean Reid MBE, the London-born maison brings together fine fragrance, history and ceremony to create moments of beauty that feel both timeless and deeply familiar. Each creation is steeped in narrative, turning the bath into an immersive journey through scent, texture and memory. Its debut collection, Vol. I: Alexandria, evokes the legendary world of Cleopatra and Mark Antony through richly scented cleansing oils, each capturing a different facet of their story. More than an everyday routine, 39BC offers an olfactive escape from the present: an invitation to slow down, reconnect and lose yourself in the pleasure of the moment.
