Our Japanese Landscape fil coupé shawl is crafted from soft wool jacquard and expertly woven in Italy with a design created in the Liberty studio – a life-long modern icon to brighten up daily dressing.

Rich and tactile with an intricately beautiful design, this Liberty scarf doubles as a wearable work of art. Japanese Landscape draws inspiration from the work of master Edo-era artist Hokusai in its depiction of Japan’s most iconic and beautiful volcano, Mount Fuji – surrounded by blossoms, clouds and waves. The tiered layout references traditional Japanese hanging scrolls, reimagined by our designers as a graphic contemporary scarf. The fil coupé design has been woven in Italy in wool jacquard, using innovative technologies alongside specialist finishing techniques.
