A 13-jewel clock from the Art Deco period, this piece features a light silver-grey radiating dial, with gilt luminous cathedral hands and a stylised arrow alarm hand, Arabic numerals and a fine outer minute track with highlighted hour markers. Set in a cushioned gilt square case with flat crystal and original gadrooned crown, it is encased in a Prussian blue textured leather stylised square frame with arch detail, all attached to a dove grey silk moiré-lined travel case that fastens with a push-down clasp. Carrying the C. Buchere authenticity script and registration number, this 30-hour mechanical movement clock is a captivating find – sure to become a treasured heirloom.
To wind the clock: rotate the crown in a clockwise direction until you feel a tightening of the tension, then stop. To set the time: gently pull the crown, rotate to the desired time in a clockwise direction, then depress. To set the alarm: rotate the top button to the desired time in a clockwise direction, then gently slide down the miniature tab at the bottom. To stop the alarm: gently slide the miniature tab upwards. Always ensure hands are rotated forward not backward.
