Tepeaca Study Tana Lawn™ Cotton
Editor's Notes
For Tepeaca Study, Althea was inspired by the designs of African beads that she saw during a visit to the British museum. The outcome is a joyful, lively stripe reminiscent of a colourful beaded textile. The original was created for Liberty in 1960.
Our Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in our very own Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces.
Pricing: All fabrics are priced per metre length

COLLECTION
This collection celebrates the designs of Althea McNish, showcasing the Trinidadian designer’s unique eye for graphic, multi-layered prints in vividly tropical-infused shades. Hailing from Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, she moved to England in the 1950’s and subsequently revolutionised the world of post-war British textile design with her bold and beautiful prints – starting with her very first collection, created as a freelance commission for Liberty Fabrics in 1958. Recreated from Althea’s designs in the Liberty Archive the collection exhibits her vibrant florals and textural patterns in exciting new colourways.
