For over a decade, the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar has marked a momentous moment in each and every year. More than simply a calendar, it's a collectible treasure, a piece of storytelling marking the start of the festive season and, crucially, it is a work of art in its own right.
And for 2027, we invited our artistic community to help craft the next chapter of our most iconic creation: with an open call to find the artist who will design the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2027.
We asked artists from across the UK to share their interpretation of the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar, in a design that captures the heritage, eccentricity and magic of Liberty at Christmas.
For over 150 years, Liberty has been a beacon of creativity, discovery and artistry: proud champion of creative culture and supporter of emerging artistry. And through this open call, we continue this legacy anew: embarking on a creative journey to discover and collaborate with an artist that captures the magic of Liberty.
Submissions are now closed and we have contacted everyone to let them know if they have been shortlisted. We were overwhelmed by the creativity, talent and thoughtfulness behind each submission, as well as the immense amount of hard work that went into your designs. For all of us at Liberty, it was truly inspiring to see the passion and skill of our artistic community come to life in a new way and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to craft a submission for this project.
