This Victorian LeCoultre & Cie fob watch is a highly collectible timepiece hand-sourced by the accessories experts at Designer Vintage.
Crafted in 18ct gold, this daily wind piece has a white enamel dial with fine gold Louis XIV hands, black Arabic numerals and a miniature dot outer minute track with silver lozenge markers. Set in a matte gilt cushioned circular case adorned with a fine chased foliage design, the back is decorated with a beautifully detailed oval enamel image of the ancient Greek deities Leda and Zeus, suspended amongst serenading ribbons and foliage. The watch can be opened from the back to reveal a secondary dust cover, both with original markings. Carrying the LeCoultre & Cie authenticity script and gold hallmarks, this is a highly collectible timepiece that will become a much-admired heirloom to be passed from generation to generation.
To wind the watch: rotate the crown in a clockwise direction until you feel a tightening of the tension. To set the time: insert your nail in the centre of the lozenge to the left of the crown. At the same time, rotate the crown in a clockwise direction to the desired time. Always ensure hands are rotated forward not backward.
