Strawberry Thief Oil Cloth
First printed by William Morris in 1883, Strawberry Thief was part of a group of designs incorporating animals with flowers. Introduced as a furnishing fabric for Liberty in 1979, it depicts birds stealing fruit within Morris’s Oxfordshire garden.
Our coated oil cloth fabric offers an update on Liberty’s iconic signature, Tana Lawn™ cotton. Printed in our own Liberty Printing Mill for unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy, Oil Cloth Tana is then expertly coated with a polyurethane resin treatment, for stain-repelling oil and water resistance. Oil Cloth Tana can easily be cleaned with a wet cloth, or machine washed at 30°C – after washing customers may iron on low on the reverse (uncoated) side of the fabric, to ensure a smooth finish.
