Liberty Fabrics’ Monique is inspired by our classic Christelle print, reworked into beautiful silk jacquard. Based on the early Indian chintzes that first came to Europe from India in the 17th century, it unites a medium-sized oriental floral trail with Tree of Life style flowers. Silk Jacquard features a delicately textured ‘shadow’ effect, with a structured pattern that shines from the very heart of the fabric. It is tougher and more abrasion-resistant than most silks, with an opulently smooth hand-feel and gleaming surface lustre that combine to provide the perfect base for special occasion ensembles.
