Our interactive company induction takes place in your first few days and gives you an insight into your new surroundings, Liberty’s unique history, and the company vision for the future. It also gives you the opportunity to meet your colleagues and teams from around the business. Whether you are working in-store or behind the scenes in head office you will be helped to find your feet as soon as you join.
The First Few Weeks:
Helping you settle into your role quickly, within the first few weeks of joining, a bespoke induction will be created. Here you will be introduced to key colleagues and will be involved in suitable activities that will help you understand your new role and responsibilities fully. Throughout your settling in period you will have regular catch ups and reviews with your line manager to ensure you are developing, growing and receiving all the support you need.
Learning at Liberty:
We know as a Liberty employee that you will want to develop and work your way up through the business. To help you reach the next level, our learning and development offering includes a combination of customer-focused training, support with behavioural and technical skills, management training and aspirational development programmes. Your training will be bespoke to your role and therefore can be on the job, classroom based or away from your normal environment.
Liberty also has a range of in-house training programmes to help provide you with the essential skills and experience to develop and prepare you for the next level in your role. Preparing our selling teams for management roles, we offer our future leaders both a Department Manager programme and a Supervisor programme. We also run a One Day development programme to allow you to gain exposure of another team in line with your development aspirations.
Developing your Role:
Closely monitoring your progress to help keep you aligned with your development, all Liberty employees will have regular 1-2-1’s, Annual Performance Reviews and Personal Development Plans. These will help shape what you need and want to achieve in your role and can help you decide where you want to focus. With coaching and mentoring from your managers along the way we can help develop you into one of our leaders of the future.
