Fractured Floral Silk Satin

Fractured Floral was inspired by the split forms and patterns of mirrored artworks. The in-house designers used as their starting point a fragment of a print created by 1960s Liberty design director Bernard Nevill. This design features large stylised flowers fragmented into a bold, sweeping geometric.

The design is printed by experts in Italy onto our fluid, reflective 16 momme Belgravia silk satin – a fabric prized for its lustrous drape and fluidity, along with its luminously high-shine surface. Construct it into eveningwear pieces such as sheath gowns, or use it to create opulently wearable daytime designs like wrap dresses and flowing shirting.

COLLECTION

For Autumn/Winter 2020 Atelier collection, the Liberty Fabrics design team were inspired by the eclectic mix of artworks found at London’s international art fairs. Capturing the current mood for bold, beautiful blooms in large graphic styles, the designers worked in a variety of artistic styles, exploring a vibrant floral theme through diverse mediums including painting, collage, oil pastels and pen.
