Parisian-based design studio, Datcha brings us a slice of its modernised folk creations with this fish plate, dreamt up in glazed terracotta.

Determined to preserve endangered heritage and crafting traditions, Datcha duo, Amandine Furhmann and Mériadek Caraës travel the globe to seek talented artisans and innovative, know-how design techniques to create useful and decorative objects for today’s eclectic interiors. Hand-painted in Spain by a small, family-run business, this terracotta plate is characterised by a painterly and stylised fish motif, reimagined from a 1950s archival design. A nod to authentic craft and the art of storytelling, pair the plate with other colours in the range for a charming and chromatic tablescape.
