Liberty menswear is bursting with fresh designs and discoverable new brands for Autumn/Winter 2018. Credited with curating these cultured and considered collections is our in-house buyer, Laura Robertshaw. Here she sketches just some of the highlights, trends and newness that await on LG for the season ahead.

Editions MR

"Éditions MR founder Mathieu de Ménonville first opened the brand in his apartment, and within a year his first boutique was opened in the Haut-Marais. As a new brand for Liberty menswear, this edit is the perfect complement for our core wardrobe offer."

Stella McCartney

"After kick-starting her career on Savile Row, Stella McCartney is introduced to our menswear offer for the AW18. Awarded the Special Recognition for Innovation at the 2017 Fashion Awards, Stella McCartney is definitely a brand we champion: innovative design, responsible and sustainable through time."

Maria Black

"Jewellery brand Maria Black makes her debut into Men's for AW18. Coinciding with this launch, we have introduced the new collection already revered in our Women's Jewellery department. Maria Black perfectly pushes the boundaries of design offering a minimal, classic and dramatic line."

TREND: Tartan

"Season on season, the heritage pattern of rebellion makes a comeback. With over 4,000 named tartans in existence, you'll find the best checks in the Liberty edit."

TREND: Corduroy

"For AW18, velvet and corduroy's rich textures and shades liven up the catwalks and wardrobes with a touch of nostalgia and a tactile edge."

"The colour of the AW18 season, green always compliments the dark wood of Liberty - we even decked our Designer room out in this colour."

TREND: Progressive Puffas

"The first puffer coat was invented in 1936 following a near-death experience of hypothermia by Eddie Bauer. Whether it's oversized, an off-catwalk silhouette or a classic, technical down jacket - the quilt will keep you warm throughout the coming season."
