Liberty Fabrics: Scrub Hub
Donating time (and 5,000 metres of Liberty Fabrics) to support frontline NHS workersRead more
Like so many across the UK, the Liberty team have been putting their free time and talents to good use while in lockdown. Scrub Hub is a grassroots organisation made up of a network of volunteers across the country, all hard at work sewing scrubs, scrub bags and masks for the NHS. Liberty has donated almost 5,000 metres of fabric so far through our internal hub, so that our team members can get involved in supporting this nationwide effort.
The Liberty team have been putting in the hours at home to make the most out of these donated Liberty Fabrics stocks, crafting everything from full sets of scrubs (complete with matching scrub bags) for local carers and NHS workers, to jewel-encrusted face masks for care home residents. As one Liberty team member explains: “During these unprecedented times it feels good to know you can still be part of a creative community, while also helping those who are hard at work on the frontline.”
