A bold lip doesn’t have to mean matte. Do fuchsia in a glazed vinyl finish for extra volume. Just start with flawless skin, brushed up brows and a touch of Hourglass Caution Mascara through lashes. Line and fill lips with Hourglass Panoramic Lip Liner in Ballet, swiping Confession Lipstick in I Believe on top, and finish with a dab of highlighter on the upper cheekbones.

Playing up more than one feature doesn’t have to spell disaster. Gel liner along the waterline creates a worn-in, post-party eye when paired with earthy shadow, lashings of Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara and a dab of metallic gold at the inner corner. A scattering of freckles across the nose and high-gloss lips give a youthful, dewy contrast.

A multi-hued ombré eye against pristine skin is a dreamy way to do colour. Start with a base of Surratt Lid Lacquer in Kura Kura over the whole lid, then build up sections of colour, focusing metallics on the centre of the lid and inner corner for depth. Strikes of floating pearl liner create abstract definition. Go mascara free with a little lip lustre for freshness.

Treat makeup as art with cloud-like liner that frames the eyes with negative space. All you need is a white pencil like NARS Longwear Eyeliner to sketch cartoonish puffs at the outer and inner corners. A light flush of Chantecaille Cheek Gelée in Happy and Sisley Phyto Rouge Lipstick in Portofino pressed onto lips completes the look.
