Caroline Campbell Lasenby Cotton
This print was part of our Name A Liberty Print initiative – where Liberty customers were invited to become a part of Liberty history by naming a print that will now live forever within our world-famous design archive, in partnership with the ‘1000 Women’ initiative lead by Sophie Hayes Foundation to support survivors of modern slavery.
A meadow of flowers composes this joyous all-over pattern, which was originally hand-painted for Liberty in 1977. Scattered pops of colour give the effect of glistening spring pastures. The design appears on our Lasenby base – created especially for quilting, this soft cotton is suitable for a range of creative projects, including bedspreads, cushions and cosies. It is machine washable and durable enough for daily use, with each richly coloured design created using traditional screen-printing techniques.

Inspired by the wonder and escapism of The Artist’s Home – a reflection on eclecticism and colour, filled with vibrant details to spark inspiration. Our designers drew influence from historic creative retreats including Charleston Farmhouse, a romantic countryside escape famed for its hand-painted decorative interiors, as well as Yves Saint Laurent’s idyllic Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, and Barbara Hepworth’s sculpture studio and gardens on the dramatic Cornish coast.
