Treat your home to a piece of classic design with this Liberty London print cushion, adorned with the 'Wallace Secret Garden' print. At the core base of this print is an original Morris print named 'Larkspur' – a coveted design, first created in 1872, that reflects the wildness and freshness of the garden as Mary finds it, saying: 'I think it has been left so long that it has grown into a lovely tangle'. The print was re-painted in a slightly different repeat to appear more entwined; flowers that would later grow in the garden were added, but in tonal shades rather than full colour, as though yet to fully emerge. Also relevant to the garden is the use of delphiniums, one of the flowers often spoken of and about which Dicken says 'they're Larkspur made big and grand’. The Interiors collection currently only uses Morris prints that were part of a Post War 'Gentlemen’s Agreement'. Morris’ designs at this time were split between three companies: Sanderson, Stead McAlpin and Liberty.
