3 Minute Morning Routine:
Speed is of the essence for most of us in the morning. Opt for a foaming cleanser, such as Dr Sebagh Foaming Cleanser, £28, or if you have drier skin try a cream formula. Both will remove any excess oil and allow your serum to go deeper into your skin. For those in need of a hydration boost, add one of Shu Uemura’s lotions, from £39, into your routine. The nourishing formulas prep your skin and supercharge your serum.
5 Minute Evening Routine:
Rinsing the day off your skin properly before bed can be the difference between a lacklustre complexion or a fresh-faced glow in the morning. Start with a cleansing balm, such as Emma Hardie Moringa Amazing Face Cleansing Balm, £38, or Aromatherapy Associates Soothing Cleansing Balm, £38, to gently remove makeup without leaving the skin feeling stripped. Balms encourage you to massage as you apply them, which boosts circulation and plump up skin. Do this for two-to-three minutes, using circular movements, upwards and outwards, for the best results.
Use a muslin cloth to rinse the cleanser off - you’ll be able to tell once you’ve washed away your makeup when the cloth stays white.
Finish by using either your morning cleanser, or if you want a more intensive, smoothing treatment use an exfoliating face wash. Sisley’s Phyto-Blanc Buff and Wash Facial Gel, £82.50, is gentle enough to use every day without drying skin out. For a more bespoke approach to exfoliating, try mixing de Mamiel Brightening Cleanse and Exfoliate, £39, into your cleanser.
